Valdez Pool Rules & Policies
Please keep the following rules and policies in mind while at the Valdez Pool:

• A cleansing shower must be taken prior to entering the pool
• Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult 18 years old or older
• Deep water and diving board rules apply
• Electronic recording devices (cameras, cell phones, etc.) will not be allowed in the locker rooms and pool deck
• Floatation devices must be approved by the lifeguards
• Food and glass containers are not allowed on the deck
• Lifeguards may use their discretion for any additional rules to ensure safety of all patrons
• Lifejacket rules apply
• No diving in the shallow water (under 6’ deep is considered shallow)
• No dunking, chicken fighting, pushing or horseplay is allowed
• No running, pushing, shoving on deck or in locker rooms
• Proper swim attire required, no cut offs, jeans, or shirts
• Registration for all swim lessons and party rentals are done at the P&R Office in the Civic Center
• Swim diapers required for all non-toilet trained individuals
• Street shoes are not allowed on the deck
• The use of fins, masks, kickboards, etc is at the discretion of the lifeguards. All equipment must be used for its proper intention
