This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

The finished result of this project will include an addition built onto the existing medical campus which will include two separate rooms. One room will house the existing oxygen generator and must be in 100% code compliance for the manufacturing of medical grade oxygen. The second room with be a large storage space with the intent for future expansion. Lastly, the existing medical gas room will be modified to allow for storage, and filling of oxygen bottles.

Engineer’s estimate for construction is under $ 500,000.00.


Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:30pm local time on March 15, 2018, at the following location inside the Valdez Pioneer Field Airport:

The bids will be publicly opened and read at that time.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.

The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
