This request for qualifications includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

The purpose of this Request for Qualification (RFQ) is to solicit qualifications from professional consultants to provide architectural, engineering, and related professional services for exterior repairs on the Herman Hutchens Elementary School in Valdez, Alaska. The Consultant shall conduct design and public meetings, provide information, reports, and drawings necessary to develop and communicate the project program, education specifications, concept designs and project cost.

The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and other facilities necessary to perform the required services in accordance with the standards and criteria of the City of Valdez standards of the architectural and engineering profession.

Statement of Qualifications will be accepted until 2:00 PM local time on November 13, 2017, at the office of the Capital Facilities Director, 300 Airport Road, Suite 201, PO Box 307, Valdez, Alaska 99686. Submit four (4) hard copies of your Statement of Qualifications via mail.  Please also provide an electronic copy to . The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
