The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit qualifications from professional consultants to provide architectural, engineering, and related professional services for the demolition and replacement of the elevator control assemblies located at City Hall and the Senior Center. The Consultant shall conduct design and public meetings, provide information, reports, and drawings necessary to develop and communicate the project program, education specifications, concept designs and project cost.

The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and other facilities necessary to perform the required services in accordance with the standards and criteria of the City of Valdez standards of the architectural and engineering profession.

Statement of Qualifications will be accepted until 1:00 PM local time on October 30, 2017, at the office of the Capital Facilities Director, 300 Airport Road, Suite 201, PO Box 307, Valdez, Alaska 99686. Statement of Qualifications will be accepted via mail or in person only. The City’s Project Manager is Codi Allen;

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
