  3. Come Join the Brush Busters- Brush Cutting 10AM-1PM at Salmonberry Ski Hill

    November 8, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Salmonberry Ski Hill

    Help clear the Ski Area of brush and debris before the first snow sticks. If you and your family love having a ski area close to town, now is your chance to show your support and help assure it's a safe and enjoyable spot for all this winter! Please bring chainsaws, saws, machetes, etc for brush cutting. We recommend this activity for ages 12 and up. Parent or guardian must be present and monitoring any minor handling a tool. Prizes will be awarded to those lucky brush cutters whose tickets are drawn at day's end!

    Shake your tail-feathers and run your drumsticks off! Bring the family out on Thanksgiving morning for some activity & bonding before carving the turkey. Race starts promptly at 10AM, to ensure we're all finished and hungry for our big Thanksgiving feasts! 2 lucky finishers will go home with a fresh Magpie’s Bakery pumpkin pie for dessert! *We encourage you to bring a donation of a non-perishable item for the Valdez Food Bank for participating in this special Thanksgiving Day event, in lieu of registration fee.*

    The Annual Valdez Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is a tradition to our local residents and holiday visitors! Don't miss out on this year's festivities, as we light our NEW community Christmas Tree. Afterwards, join in as we gather at the Valdez Consortium Library to enjoy hot drinks, cookies and a visit from Santa.
